.:BIOGRAPHY:.

I have been buying techno records back in 1995. At that time I was quite known as a hardcore Dj, under my alias Brainlock, but i also liked techno a lot..
In this time my greatest influences were Dave Clarke, Jeff Mills, Leo Anibaldi, Robert Armani, Cj Bolland and others..
From 1995 till 1999 i played a variety of styles of music, all under different names, as hardcore dj 'Brainlock' I had quite a lot of success, highlights were winning an Open Dutch Mixing Championchip 1996 and my time with Shadowlands and Carte Blanche Club. Also in 1998 i played at the Beursgebouw in Eindhoven, on Shadowlands vs. Hellraiser.

In 1999 hardcore died, and I started organising my famous or infamous Technosis party's, which started out as club/techno party's but after a while it attracted more and more hardtrance and hardstyle lovers. So till 2002 i was quite wellknown as a hardstyle dj, The Hardstylist.

My own taste kept bringing me back to techno, and since 2003 i have been a really great collector of Acid House..! My love for the 303 is huge, as u can see on this website, in my eyes the greatest machine ever invented..! Also, every style that exists now has elements of Acid Music in it.. I love to go back in time and experience the feeling from the good old days...!

Ever since I started working in the great recordstore in Venlo, Sounds, I have been broading my horizons, and I have become quite a critic.. Nowadays i listen to every record that i get in my store and I only buy stuff that I really really like, not caring if it's minimal, techno, tekno, acid, house, or hardcore..!
Mainly my techno/acid/minimal and electro collection has been explosively growing ever since...

As a result, in my sets i like to build up, but i don't care about what year a record is produced, or by who, or exactly what style it is, I just play stuff that in my eyes adds something to my audience's immagination.
I don't like people that don't look further than their own nose, i just play whatever i find suitable at THAT time, at THAT party, for THAT audience..

Because of my name as a hardtrance, jump, hardstyle and hardcore Dj I wasn't taken serious for a long time as a being a techno/acid/minimal Dj, but I hope to have made an end to this when I showed my skills at the recent Free Funk Ferry dj Contest..!

For the future...? Well, I hope to get a lot of gigs, and open the eyes of many more party people and organisers..!
